Forests of South India are well known for their elephant populations Nagarhole and Periyar are two noted perks where elephants roam freely with other animals like tiger, leopard, gaur, monkeys & deer.
The lake at Periyar enables one to explore its forest on motor boats, which allows close & safe observations of elephant and other animals. While at Nagarhole Trained elephants and four wheeled drives takes one to the park.
